Micah is 2 Months old... shots, and pics!

Micah Ly Rendleman at 2 months

Oh, my little Micah got his second set of shots yesterday.... The first picture was taken as he was getting his last shot. [He got hepatitis B; polio; DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis); Hib, to protect against meningitis; pneumococcal, to protect against severe bacterial infections, ear infections, and meningitis; and rotavirus (given by mouth), to prevent stomach flu.]
My little boy now weighs 9 lbs 11oz. He is 23 inches tall, and his head is 38 inches around. He is in the 10th percentile for weight and head size and in the 50th percentile for height. He's following the same trends as last month. After his shots yesterday, he screamed, then he blinked a couple of times and went straight to sleep. (2nd picture)

Micah is now very active. He loves it when I sing to him. Right now we're singing the ABC's and 123's, lullabies, and children's church songs. He eats really well. He drinks 3-4oz of milk every 3-4 hours. He moves a lot. He loves to be on his back and look up at lights. He loves to be carried facing outward so he can see where he is going. And he watches our mouths as we talk. He does NOT like to be put in the crib. He will go to sleep in his crib but putting him back to sleep after a feeding or a changing of the diapers/clothes is impossible! He likes to sleep near us. When Rico's working nights, I will put Micah in the bed with me just because Micah will go straight to sleep if he feels me near him. It's very helpful so that I can get up early, feed him, change him and get myself to work. (Yes, I know that I will pay for that later.) lol

Micah is also very smart. He grabs things. He loves to hold on to blankets and he can definitely hold his pacifier in his mouth. When he loses his pacifier, he'll swing his arms until he knocks it towards his face and puts his mouth on it! It's HILARIOUS! (This is if he's laying on his tummy). Micah loves tv... ALREADY! Lol. As long as he sits in his boppy or his bouncer and gets to watch nick jr, I get housework done! It's awesome! (Robbie says, 'He is a man!') lol. I LOVE it!

Micah is getting less fussy now. He's still a little fussy, just a lot less... maybe it has something to do with me learning and knowing what his little fusses mean now. He used to hate baths! But as long as I sing to him and talk him through it, he is happy. He used to hate it when we changed his diaper and especially his clothes but now that we talk/sing to him, he smiles and coos. Sometime he coos in the tune that I am singing! I love my smart little man!

Micah is learning so much and Rico says all the time how much he misses the old things that Micah used to do. He used to look up and shake his head with his lips poked out [like a bird] when he didn't want any more milk... Now he hits your hands with his hands. (almost as if he's fighting you lol). We are falling more and more in love with our little boy. Rico says he is sooo much fun now. I can't wait until he can do more things. But I can wait because I enjoy him so much. When he learns something new, he stops doing something he used to do. We understand now why people want more kids...
