Micah at 11 months!

Micah Ly is 11 months old!

One of my cute faces.
Mommy and me at Freedom Park 2-19-11.
Me and friends at Abby's birthday party 2-20-11.
Me eating a cone at Bounce U.

Micah Ly is now 11 months old and with a blink of the eye, my baby will turn 1 year old! Wow. Is all I can say! Micah is taking a step or two by himself, but still not walking yet. His daddy had gotten him some pretty gray Nikes, but they have such a thick bottom that poor baby Micah keeps tripping all over his little feet. And by little, I mean little to me... My baby wears a size 5 shoe!!! It just seems so big for a little baby his age! We went to the mall yesterday and got him some Stride Rite shoes! $30 for some 'not so cute' and non-name brand shoes! But they do the trick! He's walking better than ever! (with my help or toys of course) Micah eats toddler age foods now. He eats the graduates snacks and we've bought him the little trays. We'll see how well he does with that this month! We've been discussing how we're going to ween him off his pacifier! Ughh.. Not really ready to do this yet!!! He can NOT sleep without it! In fact, if he cannot find it in his crib at night, he'll cry until he gets it. I have no idea what we're going to do.. Quit cold turkey? Maybe.. lol. And then the big decision of what milk to use after he turns 1! Do we want to do the enfamil toddler formula or regular milk or what... Decisions, decisions, decisions! I'm stressing just thinking about it!
Truth is, he's doing a lot more now (physically) and is getting on my ever-loving nerves, but he's so much more fun now! I enjoy him so much! When I have to get housework done, he gets into EVERYTHING! He now enjoys trying to get in the trash can! EWWW! When I put him in his walker, he tries to knock it over! THIS ISN'T A GAME BOY! lol. He goes into ALL of my kitchen cabinets. (Those stupid cabinet locks don't work cause my cabinets are so funky!) If I put the gate up so he stays in the living room, he turns all the knobs on the tv and surround sound. (Yes, we need an entertainment center!) Ahhhh! I'm aggravated just thinking about it and also about the fact that as I blog about my baby's achievements, I still have thousands of things that need to be done around the house. But, Micah LOVES me SO much! When he wants our attention, he'll turn his head and get right in your face and give you the prettiest, most precious smile. Then he'll giggle because he got our attention. And even when he's completely enchanted with his favorite shows on tv, he'll still look back at me to make sure that I am there and paying attention to him. He'll give me hugs just randomly and pat my back. He'll jump up and down when Daddy gets home from work until he comes and picks him up. He says dadadadaddy ALL THE TIME. He says 'yeah'. And he knows 'I love you'. He is mimicking everything we say. He can't say a lot of consonants yet but he tries anyway. I seriously can cry just thinking about my baby. He is so wonderful! Rico and I love him so much!
Even though I can go on and on and on about our love for Micah and the other gazillion things he's up to now, I better get going on this housework. (or rest until he gets up from his nap) Hopefully Micah Ly will be walking the next time I blog!
